Service Description

Botox neuromuscular blocking agents placed into the muscle or just under the skin to temporarily improve the appearance of fine lines, soften deep movements, and to smooth out dynamic wrinkles. COMMON TREATMENT AREAS •Forehead Lines •Glabellar Lines (11’s) •Crow’s Feet and/or Brow Lift •Lip Lines and/or Lip Flip •DAO and/or Mentalis •Platysmal Bands Full face treatments can also reduce pore size, reduce redness from rosacea, and smooth the skin. Hyperhidrosis treatments to reduce sweating in the armpits, forehead, nose, hands, feet, etc. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? Every treatment is different, and it depends on the size of the treatment area. If it is your first treatment you should set aside at least 45 minutes. This will give us time to do your assessment and talk about your treatment options and treatment goals. If we have treated you before, then your visit can take 20-30 minutes. Some people see results in a few days, but you must wait 2 full weeks to see the final result. HOW LONG DOES IT LAST? Everyone is different and our bodies metabolize the product at different rates. For most people the treatment can last 3-4 months (which is 3-4 treatments a year). The lower face burns off a little faster because we use those muscles more often, so those treatments last about 2 months. Another thing to note is that athletes, people that work out a lot, or people that are always in the sun will burn off or metabolize the product faster than others, so their treatments usually last about 2-3 months. AVOID COMPLICATIONS: •Clients with a history of Cold Sores, it is advised to take medications prior to treatment. •No alcoholic beverages 2 days prior to injections. This may increase bleeding and bruising. •Avoid blood thinning medications 2-3 days prior to injections (ex: Naproxen, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, St Johns Wart, Gingko Biloba, etc.). This may increase bleeding and bruising. Botox and Xeomin should not be used if: •You are pregnant or you are breastfeeding •You have allergies to botulinum toxin, human albumin, or sucrose •There is a current infection, inflammation, or dermatitis of areas that will be injected •You have facial asymmetry such as Bell’s Palsy •You have a neurologic disorder such as, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gherig’s Disease), Myasthenia Gravis, Lambert Eaton Disorder, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease
